Joya Helmuth, owner of Spark Design Studio, a fine stationery and invitation shop in South Bend, has been a graphic designer for over twelve years. Her not-so-secret passion has always been paper, calligraphy and writing, best expressed through The Annual Helmuth Christmas Card Project. Nothing satisfies her more than finding the perfect design and message, whether it be for a bride and groom, party host, or corporate client.
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Joya holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a double minor in design and music from Trinity Christian College, located just outside Chicago. She has studied in London, with further design training through the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Joya is also a violinist and avid reader.
She is fortunate to be married to an extremely patient and supportive husband, Lamar, with a son and daughter (ages 9 and 8) to keep her humble and grounded. |

Kathy Friend is a nationally sought after wardrobe coach and personal shopper. As a local fashion expert, Kathy is seen weekly on WSBT TV, offering fashion advice as tips. She is the Fashion Editor for The Family Magazine of Michiana and Wedding Day magazine. She is also a weekly contributor to Blissfully Domestic, a nationally distributed online magazine. Kathy has been called upon to review products, guest write for well-known blogs, and act as a key-note speaker.
Kathy was named one of the 2008 (Chicago) Regional Style Icons by SHORE Magazine; she has been recognized by the prestigious Association of Image Consultants International, and has received training from some of the biggest names in fashion in the country.

Cynthia Basker, owner of Celebrated Events, has planned and designed weddings, parties and corporate events since 1990. Translating her clients wishes and needs into unique, effective events has become her signature. Using her creative vision, style and experience, she brings the perfect blend of verve and panache to each event she produces.
Cynthia has a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University, and is a member of Association of Bridal Consultants and the International Special Events Society. She has been a speaker at the Association of Bridal Consultants Annual Conference several times, as well as the Special Events Conference and the Bella Bridal Event. In 1999 she was the recipient of the Dorothy Penner Heart Award for Passion & Excellence, highest designated award bestowed by The Association of Bridal Consultants. |
